Jaja provides simple, fair and transparent finance solutions for people living modern lives. Based out of London, Jaja’s aim is to simplify finance and prioritise living. We’re starting with a brilliantly simple mobile-first credit card.

 

In July 2019 Jaja led a consortium which purchased the Bank of Ireland credit card portfolio, investing over £0.5bn. It also resulted in fresh investments in Jaja from major Private Equity funds including Centerbridge and KKR who have recognised the change that Jaja is bringing to the market

As a result the business is growing rapidly and we are on the lookout for great talent across the organisation

 

  

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We’re on a mission to redefine the consumer finance experience and liberate customers from needless complexity, wasted time and frustration. We will delight our customers – making the customer experience simpler, more enjoyable and more intelligent – treating customers fairly and giving them more control of their money. 

 

Right now, we’re looking for a focused professional that is ready for leading by example and rolling up sleeves to get things done, replacing start-up chaos with structure, confidently flipping questions into solutions and working with the team to join us as our Community and Customer Marketing Manager.

 

We are looking for someone with a proven ability to attract, grow, and engage a community of brand advocates and influencers by leveraging the most appropriate digital marketing tools and digital channels (earned and owned media) with minimum need for paid marketing (PPC, traditional advertising etc.)

 

We are looking for a self-driven and hands-on Community and Customer Marketing Manager to manage our community, grow our social media channels and enable organic growth. If you have a forward leaning personality, love building a loyal fanbase from scratch by thinking outside the box, excel in written communications, and enjoy learning new skills and come up with creative growth hack solutions , then this role is for you.

 

You will own and significantly enhance Jaja’s social media and word-of-mouth strategy so that it becomes an even larger driver of our growth. You’re ready to take our current social media community to the next level and you can develop creative social campaigns that drive brand loyalty and engagement. You’ll be also helping to build our community via the forum platform, developing our social media profile and writing helpful and informative content for our web and social media.

 

This role will require a combination of creativity, strategic thinking, field marketing and execution. You won’t simply be posting content to our existing social accounts but will be partnering with teams across the company – from Customer Support to Product, Growth, Brand, Risk and others– to ensure we maximise the benefits from the social platforms we’re on, engage in strategic conversations with our customers and potential customers, and share insights and knowledge across all functions and levels in the company.

 

It is equally important that you’re tech-savvy, data-driven and passionate about the possibilities mobile marketing tools bring to the table. We aim to measure all what we do and hence we need you to be curious and find ways to make the most of all our marketing contents.

 

Day to day tasks will involve:

 

Community Management

 

Defining a strategy to grow and sustain a long-term, thriving and active Jaja Community

Manage community engagement to build a strong and successful community

Answer community queries through the community forum, email or social media

Deliver reporting of community to show their feedback in order to make the best Jaja experience possible

 

Social Media

 

Plan, implement and review social media activities across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube

Grow Jaja social media channels, create engaging content, aligned to our marketing and comms strategy and core themes

Ensure all social media channels adhere to and reflect the Jaja brand guidelines

Deliver and manage the internal social media guidelines

Generate a stream of leads through engaging with potential customers on social media

Deliver reporting that shows effectiveness of social media

Work with our content producer and our designer on the delivery of all online assets and artwork for marketing materials as required, to support social media and wider activities

Assist with the implementation of social media campaigns to align with marketing strategies

Manage weekly content calendars (customers comms, administration, copywriting, asset sourcing, amends, forward planning)

 

Website and newsletters

 

Create, publish and manage long-form content on the Jaja website and company newsletters, and other communications channels as required

 

Marketing Analytics

 

Monitor and optimise the performance of the content, social media and other

Work with the Product/Marketing and Data teams to ensure that all the relevant metrics are tracked, and that relevant dashboards and reports are produced


Experience

 

Ideally, you’ll have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role – managing and growing social media channels and growing communities

Marketing experience in fast growing startup B2C tech is preferred. Bonus points if you have experience in the Fintech scene and/or consumer lending space. Extra bonus points if you have experience working with a mobile app

First class writing and editing ability – you produce engaging, accurate copy even under time pressure

Familiarity with all major social platforms and common tools (especially Hootsuite, Mailchimp and Wordpress) needed to use them effectively

Good level of understanding of marketing analytic tools: Google Analytics, Amplitude, Kumulos, Mixpanel or similar

Proven ability to track and report the impact of marketing activities

Passion for technology and marketing and a genuine curiosity about software products

Familiarity with online community management

Familiarity with PR activities is a strong plus

 

Skills

 

First class copywriting skills – you’ll need to be comfortable writing long-form blog articles, social media posts and campaign content

Complete understanding of major social media channels and how to grow followers and engagement

Excellent standard of written English and strong communication skills

Hands on with marketing technologies. Ability to learn and master new marketing software tools on an ongoing basis

Strong analytical skills and experience of social media reporting and analysis

Technically capable, excellent communicator and a desire to improve processes

Great attention to detail

Strong analytical skills so you can deliver key insights and fully-optimised campaigns

You’ll be a proactive and confident self-starter, proficient at managing a busy and varied workload, in a fast-paced environment

You hate corporate politics on the other hand and show no fear of communicating what neither creates value for the customer nor the for the company
