About JAJA

Jaja is an innovative UK based consumer finance business, leading initially with a digital credit card launched in 2018, and a pipeline of consumer finance solutions in the making. Working closely with our scheme provider and leveraging our own consumer credit license authorised by FCA, we are challenging an industry that has seen little real innovation in nearly twenty years.

 In July 2019 Jaja led a consortium which purchased the Bank of Ireland credit card portfolio, investing over £0.5bn. It also resulted in fresh investments in Jaja from major Private Equity funds including Centerbridge and KKR who have recognised the change that Jaja is bringing to the market.  As a result the business is growing rapidly and we are on the lookout for great talent across the organisation

 

About the role 

 We are on a mission to redefine the consumer finance experience and liberate customers from needless complexity, wasted time and frustration. Or as we say it, Make Simple. We will delight our customers – making the customer experience simpler, more enjoyable, more intelligent – treating customers fairly and giving them more control of their money.

We’re looking for a focused professional with a knowledge of Credit Cards who is ready to lead by example and is used to rolling up their sleeves to get things done. The successful candidate will support the programmes that will develop new strategic partnerships for other forward-thinking brands that wish to bring the Jaja digital card experience to their own customers.  

As our programme PMO Lead you will bring organisation, structure, governance and planning to underpin the delivery of new propositions in a varied technology led environment.  You’ll need to be hands-on but able to see the bigger picture; confident in engaging with senior colleagues; passionate about making a difference; and eager to be outside of your comfort zone when new challenges arise. What you’ll be doing (including but not limited to the following):

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Working closely with internal programmes, the wider Jaja team, partners and suppliers to ensure project disciplines are in place and progress is aligned

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Maintaining detailed programme plans to facilitate and lead others towards successful outcome-based deliverables

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Managing the ‘end to end’ execution of formal programme governance routines through production of appropriate materials. Sometimes leading, sometimes supporting, sometimes both  

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Building a standard template plan (in its broadest sense) that will become a standardised and repeatable roadmap of timeline and deliverables to on-board future co-brand partnerships   

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Applying common sense and sound judgement to solve business problems using your knowledge and experience of Credit Cards, Financial Services and Tech based transformation

Experience required:

 

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->A working knowledge of Credit Cards is a strong preference

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Broad background of Tech led programmes across Banking and/or Financial Services

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Previous high-profile roles in an enabling Change or Project Office environment

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Embedded and practised ability to recognise priorities, schedule workloads and manage time effectively

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Extensive working experience in all standard programme support software and tools

<!-- [if !supportLists]-->·       <!--[endif]-->Recognised capability to easily interact and work alongside key stakeholders
