Delivery Manager – Technology
Jaja is a consumer finance business, launching its first product, a digital credit card, in 2018. Since then it has grown rapidly and has recently completed the acquisition of a multi-£000m credit card portfolio. Description of the Business Unit

Purpose of the Role
The Delivery Manager will be an Agile Evangelist, with a technology background, responsible for Delivery Management and running of Software Engineering initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your delivery expertise whilst also adding technical value and mentorship to feature teams in an innovative, fast paced start up environment.
You will collaborate with Product Teams and Architecture to manage the successful delivery of initiatives and empower the team to deliver high quality, secure and scalable products.
The role will suit someone with a technical background, who is comfortable leading feature teams/squads and enjoys working on innovative projects with leading edge Tech. This role is 100% management and technical leadership, with no hands-on engineering.

Leading and providing Delivery Management capability with responsibility for management of Feature Teams in line with Agile Principles.
Delivery Management services in environments with multiple Feature Teams using techniques including Design Driven Design (DDD), Behaviour Driven Design (BDD), Test Driven Development (TDD), MoSCoW, User Stories and Story Points.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies; release and sprint planning, daily stand-up, show & tell, refinement and retrospective
Drive the adoption of engineering practices such as test-driven development, pair-programming, automated testing and continuous delivery to improve quality and reliability of the team's deliverables.
Ability to challenge and remove any unnecessary barriers to Service Delivery
Leading a collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of multidisciplinary teams
Coaching and leading self-organising teams in advanced Agile techniques
You will be constantly scanning ahead of delivery to identify risks, issues and blockers to progress and identifying tactics for the removal of those and clearing the way for delivery
Building a strong team culture where engineers feel valued and empowered to meet their full potential
Essential skills and Experience
Expert agile programme and delivery management capability on significant projects and portfolios >£10M
Experience of managing and governing delivery of complex portfolios with multiple programmes in parallel
Experience of successfully engaging and reporting to senior stakeholders
Experience and demonstrable skills in digital transformation, transition and service management of complex digital services
Experience in blending in-house and third parties to successfully source and deliver digital outcomes
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence external partners, suppliers, stakeholders and customers to secure mutually beneficial outcomes
Proven track record of managing and mitigating risks and issues strategically
Desirable skills and experience
Experience working in Credit Card industry
Native App platform exposure aligned to Financial Services
